Owner

Edward Peña has lived in Colorado Springs since 2012, when he was stationed at Fort Carson while serving in the Army. After getting out of the Army in 2015, he decided to stay in Colorado Springs. He began his stained glass journey after commissioning a window to be made for his front door. He began taking classes at Carol’s Creative Glass in summer of 2021 and immediately fell in love with the process of creating this timeless and beautiful art. After Full Spectrum closed in April 2025, Edward opened The Glass Collective in the same location on May 1, 2025.

Dr. Sassy Glassy

David, Eddie’s fiancé, can often be found at The Glass Collective during the weekends and evenings. A fledgling glass artist himself (Eddie made him take a class when they first started dating - really, it was totally, completely against David’s will!), David also loves a good Lego set. Yes, David is really a doctor. He specializes in older adults and leadership. He’s a Subject Matter Expert in aging and sexuality. He and Eddie are looking forward to a spring wedding in 2026.

Mosaics & Fusing Instructor

Introducing Cathy Tomovich, one of The Glass Collective’s instructors! She is a self taught mosaic artist and uses up-cycled materials in most of her work. Cathy started working on mosaics after she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2013. Cathy now shares her knowledge of mosaics and has been teaching since 2017. In 2024 Cathy also started teaching fused glass classes. In 2025 she was nominated and received bronze in the Best of the Springs. Cathy’s first show was the All Things Colorado Show at Twenty One Eight Gallery. Since then her pieces have been shown at Krueser Gallery, Common Wheel Artist Co-op, and The Modbo in Colorado Springs, Colorado. When Cathy isn’t teaching classes she is hanging out with her family and cats, hiking, kayaking or chilling with friends.
